Smriti Irani Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Alleged Ties with Banned Organization

Union Minister Smriti Irani made headlines on Monday with her accusations against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Irani alleged that Gandhi had sought support from the banned Popular Front of India (PFI) to contest the Lok Sabha election from Kerala’s Wayanad constituency. She emphasized that this information raised serious questions about Gandhi’s political associations and choices.

Irani further pointed out Gandhi’s shift from Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, where he lost to Irani herself in the 2019 elections. She questioned Gandhi’s loyalty to Amethi and highlighted his decision to contest from Wayanad, referring to remarks about the people of Wayanad being more loyal.

The BJP leader’s statements are part of the ongoing political discourse ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Irani’s remarks also bring attention to the dynamics of political alliances and strategies employed by parties during election campaigns.
